Good Speakers and Alternate Versions

I splurged a while back. Bought myself a set of high quality speakers for my office. They are fantastic. If I had to do it over again, I would have bought them years ago. It's one of those things that's expensive but should last pretty much forever so it's well worth it.

One thing that's tricky is the different between listening to songs on good speakers and the fact that I might not be listing to the same version.

For example, Living Colours "Cult of Personality" is an obvious one because you can do an A/B test. But there are times when I'm listening to a version that I'm no longer certain is the same version I've heard. Part of this is because of the way Spotify works. If you tag a song and it's not available, Spotify links to an alternate version.

Gotta make sure your A/B test is using the same source.
